Glenridding Fairy Glen (Including parking & gpx file)
Please remember that all the natural swim spots in the Lake District are dangerous, wild places. Visit them at your own risk. Please also remember to respect these places and others using them, and take any rubbish away with you and leave no trace.
This fairy glen is only a couple of kilometres upstream from Glenridding and a beautiful little place to spend a summers day. There’s a number of different pools, a little waterfall and a cute little beach! What more could you want?!

Where to park for the Glenridding Fairy Pool?
The best place to park is main Lake District National Park Authority carpark in Glenridding itselfs.
How to find the Glenridding Fairy Pool?
Finding the pool is fairly straightforward, although there is one turn that isn’t particularly obvious.
Leave the carpark and head towards the Travellers rest further up the valley. From this point you just need to follow the road until the road becomes a track.
The track climbs up towards Helvellyn YHA.. keep an eye out for when it becomes concreted. Shortly after this there’s a gate on your left and a path that will take you down to the river where you’ll find the bridge above.
From there pick your route of choice and head downstream about 50 meters and you’ll find the pools.
